My Expertise
Applying behavioral science research to real-world problems is my superpower. I taught a university course on emotions and decision making, and have six years of experience designing and leading behavioral design initiatives. I have led over 40 social impact behavior change projects and workstreams.
I have a knack for identifying and filling key knowledge gaps that are blocking design excellence. I have extensive experience in a range of design research methods: I have conducted hundreds of interviews; facilitated dozens of focus groups and co-design sessions; and designed and conducted dozens of observations and mapping exercises.
I want to know if my designs work! And for whom! And how well! I have experience setting up and conducting an array of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, ranging from the most rigorous randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to the most agile rapid feedback rounds.
I have led more than a dozen project teams of 3-10 people through the full process of identifying target behaviors; conducting exploratory research; and designing, prototyping, and evaluating new designs. I was a leader in business development at BIT, providing strategic expertise to identify new, socially impactful use cases for applied behavioral science.
I'm a dancer and dance teacher. I am trained as a doula, practiced for two years, and have helped deliver over 30 babies. I am great at learning new languages (ask me about some of my favorite idioms!). I'm good at building fires and packing an efficient backpack. I love stories and riddles and always have a good one ready to tell— try me :)

About
I design systems, services, and processes that work better for people.
By focusing on human factors, my goal is to map out the elements of a decision-making environment that affect what people do and how they feel— and redesign those elements in a way that enables happiness and health.
I am currently an MS Design student at Stanford's d.school. I am a leader in the d.school's human behavior method area, and excited to be exploring physical design and fabrication.
Over the last eight years, I have worked on a range of social impact challenges— from preventing childhood drowning to getting people into safe and affordable homes to boosting vaccine uptake to improving happiness and wellbeing.
